income Tax Department Recruitment: Apply Now for 33 Sports Quota Posts

The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, Chennai, invites applications from Meritorious Sportspersons for the following vacancies under the sports quota. Eligible candidates can apply for the positions listed below:
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit (as of 01.01.2024):
- Inspector of Income Tax: 18 to 30 years
- Tax Assistant / Multi-Tasking Staff: 18 to 27 years
Age Relaxation:
- 5 years for General/OBC candidates
- 10 years for SC/ST candidates (as per Government of India rules for meritorious sportspersons)
Educational Qualifications:
- Income Tax Inspector: Must possess a degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
- Tax Assistant: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Must have a data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour.
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 10th pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
Sports Quota Eligibility:
Only certificates issued by authorized bodies will be accepted to verify sports participation. Candidates who fail to submit self-attested copies of valid certificates along with their applications will not be considered.
