GMC Jammu Faculty Recruitment 2024: Apply for Professor, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor Positions
The Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu is inviting applications for the recruitment of Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors on an academic arrangement basis for the year 2024. These positions are offered in reference to the Administrative Department’s letter No. Me-Gztd/NMC/13/2023, dated 26-05-2023, regarding the selection criteria for engaging faculty under SO 364 of 2020 (dated 27-11-2020).

Eligibility:
Both non-PSC candidates and retired doctors are eligible to apply. The selection process will follow the criteria set forth in Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 (dated 04-04-2023).
Required Documents:
Candidates must submit the following self-attested documents along with their application:
- Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate)
- Domicile Certificate
- MBBS Marks Sheets, Degree, and MCI/State Medical Council Registration
- Post-Graduation Degree and Registration Certificates
- MBBS/MD/MS Attempt Certificate and Internship Completion Certificate
- MBBS Marks Cards (All Professional Years)
- Teaching Experience Certificate (as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023)
- Research Publications/Presentations or credits for authoring a book/chapter (as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023)
- Gold Medal for 1st Position in MBBS (if applicable)
- Higher Qualification Certificate (DM/MCH/DNB/Super Speciality)
- Affidavit (stating that the doctor is not currently employed in a government position, attested by a 1st class Magistrate)
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Any other documents as requested by the selection committee
Additional Instructions:
- Applicants for the position of Professor (including retired faculty) must not exceed 67 years of age as of the notice date.
- Selected candidates must commit to a one-year contract, and termination before its completion will require one month’s prior notice from either side. Failing this, the salary for one month will be withheld.
- Misconduct, unsatisfactory performance, or actions detrimental to the institution will result in immediate termination without notice.
- Incomplete applications or missing documents will result in rejection.

- Applicants must attach a Bank Draft of Rs. 1500/- pledged to the Principal, GMC Jammu, from J&K Bank.
